D T Mabitt
Radyr/Merthyr Tydfil
Douglas Terry Mabitt's death notice in the Western Mail (which has hiim as D T Mabbett) lists him as being professional at Radyr and thereafter at the Morlais Castle club at Merthyr Tydfil. As Radyr had a very long-serving professional in Harry Marjoram, and David Tate was professional at Morlais for a fourteen year stretch, I presume he was assistant at both clubs.
His death during war service as a lance-corporal with the Welsh Guards was announced in September 1916 and he is commemorated on the Thiepval memorial.
