Donald Bremner
Rothesay
Donald Bremner Originally from Ratho by Edinburgh he was pro at Glenburn from 1896 then appointed to the new Rothesay Municipal course laid out by Ben Sayers and opened at the end of May 1915 with a foursome consisting of Massy, Vardon, Braid and Sayers.

Played in the 1907 Scottish Professional Championship at Barry.

He enlisted in the 10th Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers in 1916 and, after service in Egypt and Palestine, was drafted to France where he was killed in action on 29 September 1918. His wife was already dead and he left two young boys.
